Following its recent acquisition of a Waltham data company, New York-based Medidata Inc. has leased 117,000 square feet at 50 Post Office Square in Boston.
The transaction brings the Art Deco tower’s occupancy rate up to 100 percent.
New York-based Medidata, which specializes in cloud-based services for life science companies, acquired Waltham-based SHYFT Analytics last year for $195 million. Medidata this month announced 2018 revenues of $635.7 million, up 17 percent from the previous year.
Building manager LaSalle Investment Management recently completed a new lobby on the High Street side of 50 Post Office Square to make the Art Deco office tower completed in the 1940s more appealing to potential tenants.
Newmark Knight Frank’s Dave Martel and Gil Daily represented ownership in the Medidata lease, while JLL’s Lisa Kiell and Kelly Lockberg represented Medidata Solutions.
