In the latest in a series of large-scale multifamily development proposals off Revere Beach Parkway in Everett, a developer is proposing to demolish a former restaurant and construct 133 apartments.

530 2nd Street LLC proposes one 4-story and one 6-story building along with 5,771 square feet of amenity space and 76 parking spaces at the former Silver Fox restaurant and function hall property.

The 1-acre site spans both a business and apartment zoning district, according to application materials submitted to the city of Everett. The proposal will require approval of seven variances, including height and floor area ratio, according to the site plan review application by Bohler Engineering. To comply with Everett’s inclusionary zoning ordinance, the project would include 13 income-restricted units.

Developers propose 76 parking spaces in garage podiums on the ground floor of both buildings. The development would generate approximately 630 new vehicle trips on weekdays, according to a traffic study by Vanasse & Assoc.. The property is located a 5-minute walk from the future MBTA Silver Line Extension.

Boston-based 530 2nd Street LLC lists Jacob Aaron Amsterdam-Vance as manager, according to Secretary of State’s Corporation Division records.

Multifamily developers are constructing and proposing more than 3,000 housing units in Everett, which has encouraged projects in the commercial triangle district previously occupied by industrial uses.
