The transportation committee for the 495/MetroWest partnership plans to host a briefing on South Station expansion and recently completed Route 30 arterial segment study in Framingham and Natick on Dec. 5.

Kate Fichter, manager of long-range planning for Massachusetts Department of Transportation, will present on the South Station expansion. Seth Asante, a member of the central transportation planning staff for the Boston Metropolitan Planning Organization, will present on the Framingham study.

South Station announced plans to expand and develop the station, as well as add CVS, Tavern in the Square, Starbucks and Barbara’s Bestsellers, in October. New men’s restrooms are currently under construction, while new women’s restrooms opened at the station in November.
