After 26 years in commercial real estate in Boston and internationally, James J. Adams has formed his own firm, J Adams Commercial Real Estate with offices at 28 State St. in Boston.

"The financial pressures on the global brokerages have created too much emphasis on administration, accounting and process, and far too little on client needs," said Adams.

J Adams Commercial will continue to represent both tenants and landlords in the Boston market, Greater Boston and international markets, with a primary focus on the Boston downtown office market, according to Adams.

During his career, Adams has leased more than 6 million square feet on behalf of landlords and 4 million square feet on behalf of tenants. The Greater Boston Real Estate Board has recognized Adams on three occasions as the recipient of the Downtown Tenant Deal of the Year.
