Melinda Aguiar of Fall River has been named assistant branch manager of Bristol County Savings Bank’s New Bedford office.

The branch, which is located on Ashley Boulevard, is due to open this month.

In her new role, Aguiar will be responsible for account management, customer relations, generating consumer loan applications and branch operations. She previously served as assistant branch manager at BankFive at its downtown New Bedford and Fall River branch locations and as a teller at St. Anne’s Credit Union in Fall River.
