AIDS Action Committee has leased space in Cambridge totaling 11,625 square feet.

The committee will lease office space at 359 Green St. and and retail space at 563 Main St., both in Cambridge’s Central Square.AIDS Action Committee expanded into Cambridge by merging with Cambridge Cares About AIDS in July 2010. The two agencies are now one organization, operating under the AIDS Action Committee name.

AIDS Action Committee cited the superior building, location, and strong ownership as deciding factors on the move to 359 Green St., where AIDS Action Committee will occupy the entire 8,500-square-foot, single-story building.

Peter Bean and Christopher McMahon, senior managing directors of Newmark Knight Frank, represented AIDS Action Committee. Central Properties, which owns 359 Green St., was self-represented, while Corporate Realty Advisors represented 563 Main St.’s owner, Naggar Realty LLC.

Boomerangs, a non-profit clothing and home goods reseller owned by AIDS Action Committee, will be opening a new location at nearby 563 Main St.. Boomerangs will occupy 3,125 square feet.
