American Express Foreign Exchange Services has reached an agreement to operate six permanent currency exchange locations and a mobile cart at Boston’s Logan International Airport.
Services provided at the new AmEx locations include foreign cash sales and buybacks; American Express prepaid products including American Express Travelers Cheques sales and encashments, and American Express Gift Cards; and travel insurance services.
"We’re excited to offer our Currency Exchange services to travelers in the Boston airport, which is a busy and important hub for both international and domestic travelers," said Helen Grace, vice president of global airport sales, foreign exchange services, for American Express. "The addition of Boston to our network of global airport currency exchange locations is an important milestone in the expansion of our airport portfolio."
Logan International Airport currently serves more than 27 million passengers, of which nearly four million are international travelers, according to a statement. It is one of the 20 busiest airports in the United States.
