Design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman has moved its Boston office to a new space at 50 Franklin St.

Established in 2008, the Boston office has relocated to a new, larger space to accommodate recent growth. The company will occupy 2,500 square feet on the top floor of a four-story building in Downtown Crossing, according to a statement.

"We are excited to continue Perkins Eastman’s growth in the Boston area, and the move to a new larger space will help to foster expanded capabilities and increased client value," said Managing Principal John R.A. Pears.

Having doubled in size this year, the Boston office is working on a recently awarded public middle school, a new 100-bed student residence with a large green-roofed quad over underground parking, a 250-unit market rate housing development, and a number of senior living master plans and feasibility studies. They are also in the preliminary project development stage of a mixed-use transit-oriented development project comprising 400 structured parking spaces over the T-line with retail and housing creating an active public square.
