The Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to the Housing Corporation of Arlington (HCA).
The grant was used to support affordable housing efforts through sponsorship of HCA’s annual walk for affordable housing, held recently.
"As the lead sponsor for our Eighth Annual Walk for Affordable Housing, Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation is and has been an incredible force in helping the Housing Corporation of Arlington bring affordable housing programs to our area," said David J. Levy, executive director, Housing Corporation of Arlington. "We are grateful to the Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation for realizing that every healthy community needs to make affordable housing a priority."
In addition to the grant, several Cambridge Savings Bank employees donated their time through participation in the 3-mile walk through Arlington Center. The walk is designed to increase public awareness of the need to provide affordable housing in Arlington. The Housing Corporation of Arlington uses the funds raised to ensure that the Arlington community remains a diverse, stable and affordable place to live.
