A Boston-based footwear company founded by former Reebok employees is the first tenant to commit to redevelopment of the former Boston Globe headquarters.
Nobull leased 96,000 square feet at The Beat, the 695,000-square-foot mixed-use complex at 135 Morrissey Blvd.
Former Reebok employees Marcus Wislon and Michael Schaeffer founded Nobull in 2015. The company is sponsor of the Crossfit Games and Crossfit’s official footwear and apparel brand, and recently announced a sponsorship deal with New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.
In April 2021, the company announced a venture capital investment from Boston-based Exeter Capital.
JLL’s Tom Kent and Ryan Enright represented the tenant in the lease transaction. CBRE’s Tim Lahey and Jeff Sanders represented Beacon Capital Partners, which joined the ownership team with Nordblom Co. last year with plans to build additional lab-ready space.
