Author Dennis Lehane has purchased a Brookline home for $2.5 million, according to transaction data obtained from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.

Lehane and his wife Angela bought the 68 Naples Road home from Kenwood Builders LLC with a mortgage for $2.1 million.

The Boston native is the author of several well-known and award-winning books, including Gone, Baby, Gone and Mystic River, both of which were made into movies.
