Avison Young recently brokered a 54,849-square-foot lease renewal at the John Hancock Tower, 200 Clarendon St., in Boston.

The transaction closed in May. The Avison Young team led by principals Jack Kerrigan, Karyn McFarland and Steve Cook represented the tenant, management consulting firm Oliver Wyman. Avison Young Vice President Matt Twombly also provided brokerage support. David Provost, senior vice president and Philip Dorman, vice president, represented Boston Properties.

Oliver Wyman is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Located in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, the 62-story, approximately 1,700,000-square-foot John Hancock Tower is New England’s tallest building. The tower offers 360-degree panoramic views of the Back Bay, Charles River, Cambridge, the Public Gardens, Boston Harbor and the surrounding areas.

"Oliver Wyman has enjoyed a long-term tenancy in the Hancock Tower and is excited to be continuing their tenancy in the Back Bay’s premier building," said Avison Young Principal Jack Kerrigan in a statement. "Furthermore, Oliver Wyman is pleased to remain within the Boston Properties portfolio as they enjoy a wonderful working relationship."
