Bank of Cape Cod is expected to open a Falmouth facility sometime in May.

Over the next several months the building at 445 Main St. will undergo a major makeover, the bank said in a statement.

The branch will be the bank’s first in the upper Cape. It currently has branches in Hyannis and Osterville.

"This work underway brings us closer to our goal of expanding our commitment to serving residents and business owners on Cape Cod," said Timothy T. Telman, president and CEO of the bank.

The Falmouth branch will be a full-service operation with a drive-up window, 24-hour ATM and a night drop for business clients. The bank said it expects to create five new jobs as a result of its expansion.
