Glastonbury, Conn.-based Bankers’ Bank Northeast has appointed Charles E. Maynard as assistant vice president and relationship manager. He will be responsible for working with clients and prospects in Massachusetts and Connecticut, identifying and fulfilling their correspondent banking needs.

“Chuck brings us a strong background in sales and sales management in banking,” said Susan W. Salecky, senior vice president of sales and service, in a statement. “He has a well-established history in banking, which gives him insight into how banks and credit unions can make the most of the services and products Bankers’ Bank Northeast offers.”

Maynard is a resident of Colchester, Conn. Before joining Bankers’ Bank Northeast, he was the sales manager of retail banking at New England Bank. Prior to that he was assistant vice president at Wachovia.

Maynard is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. In his spare time, he also coaches baseball and soccer and is a volunteer fire fighter in Colchester.
