BankFive in Fall River has donated $5,000 to Citizens for Citizens Inc. (CFC) in continued support of its volunteer tax return preparation program.

Through this program, income tax returns are prepared and electronically filed for lower income households by trained volunteers free of charge. This enables more families to benefit from earned income tax credits and child tax credits. This program is administered by personnel who also provide financial literacy information to CFC clients, from mid-January through mid-April. "BankFive has provided both financial and volunteer support to us for several years," Paul R. Desmarais, program director at Citizens for Citizens, said in a statement.
