BankFive To Open Somerset Branch

Fall River-based BankFive plans to open a new branch in Somerset at 54 County St.

The Somerset location will feature parking, drive-up ATM and night depository, two ATMs, and private offices for financial consultations with bank staff, according to a statement. The branch will be 3,000 square feet larger than the bank’s current location at 927 County St.

"Since opening at the previous location in October of 1988, BankFive has been proud to serve the residents of Somerset," said Bill Eccles, president and CEO of BankFive. "Relocating to this new space means we can offer our customers all the benefits of an updated, modern branch. Everyone is extremely pleased with how the branch has come together, and we are looking forward to sharing it with the community."

BankFive will hold a week-long celebration for the new branch the week of April 25.
