Fall River’s BayCoast Bank has promoted Richard De Almeida, of Westport, to the position of assistant vice president/mortgage lending.

In this role, he originates residential mortgage loans in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

De Almeida has been with BayCoast Bank for 25 years, holding the position of mortgage loan officer prior to his recent promotion.

He received an associate’s degree in business administration from Bristol Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. In addition, De Almeida is a graduate of the Massachusetts School for Financial Studies at Babson College and has completed two certificate programs from the Massachusetts Bankers Association at Northeastern University.
