BayCoast Bank is relocating its downtown New Bedford branch.

The bank is moving to the Standard -Times building at 25 Elm St. from 95 William St. It has leased 7,000 square feet on the first level of the building, which the bank believes will provide greater visibility and improved parking for bank customers.

The move is subject to the approval of the FDIC and the Massachusetts Commissioner of Banks and is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2015.

"We have had tremendous success in downtown New Bedford since opening the William Street branch in 2006 … We approached the Standard- Times earlier this year with a suggested lease arrangement and are happy to have reached an agreement that is beneficial for both parties," President and CEO of BayCoast Bank Nick Christ said in a statement.
