Wellesley-based Benchmark Senior Living broke ground Thursday on an 87-unit senior living community at 1 Cedar St. in Woburn.
Benchmark Senior Living at Woburn will contain 67 assisted-living residences and 20 units in a secured neighborhood for those needing memory care.
Woburn Mayor Scott Galvin, as well as Benchmark CEO Tom Grape and President Stephaanie Handelson attended Thursday’s ceremony.
Benchmark has 52 properties in all six New England states.
