The Pittsfield-based Berkshire Bank Foundation has awarded $441,864 in grants to nonprofit organizations so far this year.
Nonprofits in Berkshire County and the Pioneer Valley, along with ones in New York State and Southern Vermont, received awards, according to a statement. This year, the Berkshire Bank Foundation donated to education and community/economic development projects and youth, cultural and human service organizations.
Berkshire County recipients include:
- Berkshire Enterprises – Business Owners Training and Support
- Barrington Stage Co. – Playwright Mentoring Project
- IS183 Art School – Learning Through Arts Elementary School Education Program
- Norman Rockwell Museum – Student Education Program
- Morningside Community School – Career Lab Renovation Program
Pioneer Valley recipients include:
- American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter – Tornado Relief
- HAP Inc. – First-Time Homebuyer Training Program
- Pioneer Valley Regional Ventures Center – Leadership Training Program
- Square One Inc. – King Street Children’s Center
- Western Mass Food Bank – Community Nutrition Education
