Berkshire Bank has welcomed five new professionals in the areas of business banking, finance and risk management. Joining the team are Elizabeth Pierson, vice president, commercial product manager; Seth Pilsbury, vice president, commercial enterprise officer; Brett Brbovic, vice president, controller; William Schaefer, vice president, chief accounting officer; and Michael Vaccaro, vice president, audit manager.
Pierson comes to Berkshire Bank with more than twenty years of banking experience, most recently serving as vice president, credit risk management and compliance at Legacy Banks. In her new role, she will be responsible for connecting business customers to the resources, products and services that they need to achieve their goals. Pierson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston College.
Pilsbury most recently served as senior vice president, director of expense analysis and risk review at Sovereign Bank, a position he held since 2009. At Berkshire Bank, he will be responsible for providing direction to the measurement, monitoring and reporting results of the commercial team in order to meet business objectives. He graduated from Boston University with a BS in business administration.
A Certified Public Accountant, Brbovic comes from KPMG LLP, where he was a senior manager. At Berkshire Bank he will be responsible for leading the accounting and tax team to manage the bank’s accounting activities including internal and external reporting, financial systems, tax planning and other accounting/financial projects.
Also a Certified Public Accountant, Schaefer worked most recently at Albany International Corp. as an assistant controller and financial reporting manager since 2004. At Berkshire Bank he will be responsible for leading the Bank’s management of accounting and financial systems, policies, and processes to ensure efficiency, control and compliance.
Vaccaro previously worked as a senior auditor with Accume Partners, where he was responsible for supervising the completion of the internal and external examinations and communicate findings to management. At Berkshire Bank, he will be responsible for leading independent testing and reviews of all operational areas.
