Marlborough-based insurance software firm Blue Cod Technologies Inc. has promoted Darren Horn to vice president of business development.

In his new role, Horn will be responsible for all aspects of the Blue Cod business development efforts, including the sales, marketing, and communications teams.

Horn has been with Blue Cod since 2007 as sale director. His expanded focus will include regionalization of Blue Cod’s sales force as the company significantly expands its presence throughout the U.S., and recruitment of key new hires in the marketing function.
