BofALogoBank of America said it has provided almost 33,000 permanent home loan modifications to homeowners struggling to keep up with mortgage payments.

The modifications have been made under the federal government’s Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).

As of April 8, 32,900 customers completed the entire process and now have a permanent modification, up from 20,666 reported a month earlier, according to Bank of America’s monthly report of HAMP progress to the Department of Treasury.
