Everett-based BOND Construction attended a topping off ceremony at Wheaton College’s campus in Norton.
The celebration’s attendees signed the final piece of structural steel before it was hoisted into the air and set into place on the Mars Center for Science and Technology.
The $42 million, 99,000-square-foot project includes both construction of a new three-story, 77,800-square-foot building and the renovation of the first floor of the existing science center, according to a statement.
The project was designed by architect Einhorn Yaffee Prescott and is expected to earn LEED certification.
