Architectural, interior design and planning services firm Spagnolo Gisness & Assoc. has added five new employees to its Boston offices.

Marc Gabriel was brought on as a project architect and construction administrator. He has worked on local projects including Aileron Therapeutics for MIT Real Estate in Cambridge and the Weld Hill Research Facility at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. Gabriel received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Nevada.

Roger Lipman, a senior project architect, has more than 16 years of experience in the field. His recent experience includes helping design a $1 billion, five-mile MBTA train extension with seven new stations and 15 new bridges, according to a statement. Lipman received his bachelor’s degree from Temple University and his masters of architecture at Boston Architectural College.

Samina Merchant-Fidvi will join the firm as an interior designer. She has previously worked as a senior project manager, interior designer and consultant at other local design firms. Her recent clients include Liberty Mutual, Crosspoint Towers, and KeyBank. She received her bachelor’s degree and a diploma for interior design in India at the University of Mumbai. Her master’s degree in interior design is from the University of Oregon.

Emily Sano is a graphic designer who has done work for Boston Magazine and Anthropologie. She is a Stonehill College graduate.

Brian Sokol will serve as a marketing coordinator. He received his bachelor’s in business administration from Stonehill College in Easton. As an intern for both NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and CNBC.com, Sokol explored various spectrums of marketing including consumer behavior, branding and media production.
