Office space in Greater Boston is still being vacated, with 757,078 square feet opening up in the second quarter, but is occuring at a slower pace than experienced in the first quarter.

In the first quarter, more than 1.7 million square feet of space was vacated throughout the Greater Boston market, according to Jones Lang LaSalle’s Q2 ’09 Greater Boston Data & Analysis report. Year-to-date, 2.5 million square feet has been vacated in the area.

There is currently 2.6 million square feet of office space being constructed, the report said.
