Boston.com, the online arm of The Boston Globe, has launched a free iPhone real estate app, which will allow buyers to search for a home on their phone.
The new app will provides on-the-go access for buyers to view property details and photos and share homes with others, according to a statement. Users can browse complete listings, search for properties using a built-in GPS feature and contact the agent by e-mail or phone to schedule an appointment.
"Providing homebuyers and renters with the ability to search our thousands of real estate listings via their iPhones makes the process of finding a new home even more convenient," said Lisa DeSisto, general manager of Boston.com and chief advertising officer for The Boston Globe. "It also extends the effectiveness of listings on Boston.com for local realtors."
