Boston Private Bank & Trust Co. has appointed Hanover resident and former State Street executive Thomas K. Anderson to senior vice president and chief investment officer.
As chief investment officer for Boston Private’s investment management and trust group, Anderson will ensure the company continues to provide customized investment advice for both individual and institutional clients, the company said.
Anderson has more than 23 years in the investment management industry, most recently with State Street Global Advisors as vice president, global head of ETF strategy and research, where he focused on State Street’s $250 billion exchange traded funds family. His prior experience includes directing asset allocation and the investment team for State Street Global Advisors’ planned giving business, as well as positions at State Street Research (now Blackrock).
"Appointing Tom to this important leadership position for our investment management and trust team not only broadens our team’s experience and expertise, it enhances our capacity to uncover strategic investment opportunities for our clients and is reflective of our accelerated growth and expansion," said Jay Henderson, executive vice president of Boston Private’s investment management and trust group.
