Voters have chosen the Boston Public Library as the winning Boston landmark to be recreated out of Lego bricks at Legoland Discovery Center in Somerville.
A large-scale replica of the building, which received more votes than any other Boston landmark, will be unveiled this spring prior to the grand opening of the Somerville Legoland Discovery Center at Assembly Row.
Fans were able to vote for their favorite Boston landmark to be recreated out of LEGO bricks via Legoland Discovery Center Boston’s Facebook page from Nov. 11 through Dec. 13. The Boston Public Library was the top vote-getter from a list that included the Custom House, Faneuil Hall, Fenway Park, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Prospect Hill Monument, Prudential Tower, TD Garden and Trinity Church.
The Lego library will be featured in Miniland, an area of Legoland Discovery Center that will include several Boston landmarks recreated out of Legos.
