Boston’s Boylston Street has been named one of the most expensive streets in the country, according to a Jones Lang LaSalle survey.
Boylston Street ranked at No. 7 on the commercial real estate company’s 2013 list of the most expensive streets in the country. Average full service rent on the street per square foot is $60.20, which is $30 higher than the average market rent of $29.56.
San Francisco, Calif.’s Sand Hill Road, part of the city’s Menlo Park district, topped the list with full service rent per square foot averaging $110.76, compared with an average market rent of $75.96. New York’s Fifth Avenue ranked at No. 2 on the list, with full service rent per square foot averaging $ 102.02, compared with an average market rent of $60.39.
University Avenue in Palo Alto, Calif; Greenwich Avenue in Fairfield County, Conn.; and Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., rounded out the top five, respectively.
