The Boston Redevelopment Authority board is seeking letters of interest from organizations qualified to promote home ownership and stabilize housing stock in the North Allston and North Brighton neighborhoods.

The selected organization will be financed with $3 million that Harvard University provided as a community benefit during its Allston campus master plan process in 2013. That initiative identified concerns about housing issues in Allston, including high renter turnover and absentee landlords.

The BRA is partnering with the city’s Department of Neighborhood Development and Harvard University on the project. The Harvard-Allston Task Force will be involved with the selection process. Letters of interest are due July 18.
