Ricardo H. Brasil has joined the Boston office of Guaranteed Rate Inc. as senior vice president of mortgage lending.

While working at the nation’s two largest mortgage lenders over the past six and half years, Brasil’s team consistently ranked in the top 0.5 percent nationally in terms of mortgage loan production. Brasil, who has been originating mortgages since 2001, was one of the top 35 producers industry-wide in 2010, according to Scotsman Guide.

"He works very hard and is very successful at age 33," said Guaranteed Rate Inc. CEO Victor Ciardelli.

"I’m excited that my team and I can continue to do what we do best-meet the needs of our clients and referral partners," said Brasil. "The lending landscape continues to change and since 2008 we have always been able to adapt well so that we are properly positioned to deliver for those who rely on us for their financing needs."

Brasil’s consumer-focused approach is what has made him a forerunner in the industry. As Ciardelli pointed out, "Ricardo’s approach is right in line with GR’s mission. Having him on board is a significant asset for us."
