Stephen Brodsky, chief of Grubb & Ellis’ Boston office, has stepped down.

Brodsky, who has been with the company for 11 years, has been running the Boston office for the past seven. He resigned on Wednesday, according to a company spokesperson.

 "Grubb & Ellis is committed to the continued growth of the Boston office. We are excited about the next stage of our growth and development in such an important market for the firm," said Shawn Mobley, who will run the Boston office in the interim.

 The company plans to double the size of its Boston office by end of 2011, according to a spokesperson.
