Boston’s Nitsch Engineering has promoted Lisa Brothers to president and CEO of the company, moving up from her role as vice president and COO.
Judith Nitsch will now serve as founding principal and chairman of the board, and will continue to work full-time, focusing on client relations and business development.
"Lisa and I have worked side-by-side for more than 20 years with a shared vision for our business," said Nitsch. "Our plan has always been for Lisa to take leadership of the company, and this transition is an important milestone for our company’s future."
As president, Brothers will focus on growth, while maintaining the company’s commitment to serving the needs of clients and associates, according to a statement.
"I have led the execution of our strategic plan for the past two years with the goal of expanding our geographic reach and enhancing our services to better serve our clients. As president and CEO, I’m excited to drive the growth of the company to achieve our vision," Brothers said.
Brothers has more than 26 years of experience – 21 years at Nitsch Engineering – in the design, construction, and management of roadway, site development, and infrastructure-related projects. She currently serves as president of the American Council of Engineering Cos. of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA).
