Steven A. Burns has been appointed assistant vice president, relationship manager on the Small Business Banking team at Blue Hills Bank.

Burns is responsible for generating business banking loans in the Greater Boston area, as well as growing, developing, and maintaining effective networking relationships with local centers-of-influence. Burns has 6 years of experience in banking, having previously worked at Sovereign Bank as a credit liaison, portfolio manager and at Fleet Bank as a senior business banking specialist.

Burns is the founder and president of My Father’s House of Hope Inc. and serves on the board of directors for the University of Massachusetts Alumni Association.
