Brockton-based HarborOne Credit Union has named John Butler, a previous regional lending manager at the institution before leaving in 2007, assistant vice president, business services officer.

Butler will be responsible for developing business checking and lending relationships within the community we serve, including financing for commercial real estate, equipment purchases, business lines of credit, and term loans. 

From 2002 to 2007, Butler served as a regional lending manager at HarborOne before leaving to serve as a sales associate at Smith, Buckley, & Hunt Insurance Co. in Brockton, according to a statement.

Butler holds a B.A. degree in Business Communications from Stonehill College. He served as a member of the Stonehill College Alumni committee and serves on the executive board of the West Bridgewater Youth Athletic Association. He lives in West Bridgewater with his wife and two children.
