After eight years at the Massachusetts Mortgage Association (MMA), managing director Clarice Callahan will be leaving the firm, effective tomorrow.
Callahan told Banker & Tradesman she is leaving to work as a business development associate for a retirement consulting firm.
"It’s bittersweet; I’ve enjoyed my years thoroughly here, serving the industry and our members specifically, but an opportunity presented itself to me that I just can’t pass up," Callahan told Banker & Tradesman.
"Clarice has given outstanding dedicated personalized service to the MMA and its members for the last eight years, and we are so grateful for her efforts on our behalf," Denise Leonard, executive director of the MMA said in a statement. "It has been both an honor and privilege for me to have had the opportunity to work beside her for the last five years. She will certainly be sorely missed by all."
There is no replacement for Callahan yet; however, an executive committee met yesterday to discuss strategy, Banker & Tradesman learned.
