The Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation recently presented the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest with a $5,000 grant that will be used to provide support to 36 local human service agencies and initiatives.

The grant will be distributed among these organizations based on the needs of the Concord and Carlisle communities.

“The Concord-Carlisle Community Chest is very grateful to the incredibly generous donation to our annual fund from the Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation. This gift allows us to make a significant difference to the many agencies and programs we serve,” said Astrid Williams, executive director, Concord-Carlisle Community Chest. “Cambridge Savings Bank is not only generous philanthropically but also a wonderful partner to do business with.”

The Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation was founded by Cambridge Savings Bank as its primary charitable contribution vehicle. The foundation’s objective is to provide grants to local nonprofit organizations to benefit the people who live or work in Cambridge Savings Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) communities.
