The Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation recently awarded Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) with a $4,550 grant to support its year-round youth media program.
The money also sponsored CCTV’s annual backyard barbeque, according to a statement.
CCTV’s youth media program consists of the summer media institute and the school year production program, which provides Cambridge teens with education and career skills in media.
"CCTV’s teen media program provides a safe and supportive environment for Cambridge youth to gain media production skills as they explore their community," said Susan Fleischmann, executive director of Cambridge Community Television. "The generosity of Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation is critical to the success of the program, and ensures that participants develop a positive perception of themselves and the opportunities available to them in the future."
