Cambridge Savings Bank will give $175,000 to community based non-profit organizations across Eastern Massachusetts in celebration of its 175th birthday.

Through its Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation, the bank split $100,000 equally among four non-profits – the Housing Corp. of Arlington, along with HomeOwners Rehab Inc., Just-A-Start and The Salvation Army, all of Cambridge – while the public will be asked to award $75,000 to local housing non-profits via the bank’s Web site: http://www.cambridgesavings.com/.

"Cambridge Savings Bank is pleased to be in a very strong financial position, which allows us to commemorate our 175th anniversary through support for local non-profit organizations," said Robert M. Wilson, president and CEO of Cambridge Savings.
