Braintree-based commercial real estate and construction firm Campanelli Cos. will add 80,000 square feet of commercial space to the Campanelli Business Park of Middleborough.

IDEX Health & Science signed the lease with Campanelli to provide turnkey services on the build-to-suit facility on the Middleborough-based campus.

"IDEX Health & Science solicited proposals from several master-planned industrial parks in southeastern Massachusetts," said Steven Clancy, partner at CB Richard Ellis. "It was an incredibly competitive process, but Campanelli Cos. was able to offer the best combination of price and development services."

Clancy, along with Christopher Tosti, fellow partner at CB Richard Ellis, represented IDEX in the transaction.

Breaking ground on the new IDEX Health & Science facility marked the 12th business and ninth building in the 220-acre Campanelli Business Park.

The new facility will serve as one of IDEX Health & Science’s manufacturing facilities. The company will be consolidating two facilities into the new Middleborough location. IDEX Health & Science will have the ability to expand the building an additional 25 percent as needed.
