E. Gail Ramos, vice president/senior trust officer and head of Gloucester-based Cape Ann Savings Bank’s trust and financial services department since 1993, is retiring effective Jan. 31.
After joining the bank in 1986 as a trust officer, Ramos helped to establish the bank’s trust and financial services department. By 1992, she was appointed senior trust officer and promoted to head of the department. Just one year later, Ramos was elected vice president by the corporators at Cape Ann Savings Bank. Under her leadership, the department has grown steadily and currently has more than $250 million in assets under management, according to a statement.
"During her tenure, Gail has helped to increase the market value of the department’s assets and improved the financial standing of more than 660 trust clients," Harold J. Rogers II, president of Cape Ann Savings Bank, said in a statement. "To say that the bank and our customers have benefited from her hard work is an understatement. We are extremely proud and thankful for all she has accomplished in her 25 years of service."
