The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has installed 110 solar panels to the roof of its Hyannis Branch, located at 171 Falmouth Road.
The bank said in a statement that the project marks the next step in its program to reduce its carbon footprint. The bank’s green initiatives are based on the categories of requirements set by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce – commitment, awareness and education, solid waste minimization, energy conservation, air and water quality, health, water conservation, purchasing and transportation.
"With every one of our facilities actively participating in the chamber’s program for some time now and several having achieved level one certification, adding these solar panels to the Hyannis Branch is representative of our ongoing commitment to being an environmentally responsible financial institution," Dorothy A. Savarese, Cape Cod Five’s president and CEO, said in a statement.
