Dorothy A. Savarese, president and CEO of The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, has been nominated to serve as the vice chairman of the American Bankers Association (ABA).
“I am personally humbled to have been nominated for this position by my industry peers. I look forward to working to further the ABA’s mission of providing valuable resources to its member banks so they are best positioned to serve their customers and communities,” Savarese said in a statement.
Savarese became president and CEO of The Cape Cod Five in 2005. She also serves as chairman of the board of directors and executive committee of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and chairman of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust. She serves on the FDIC Advisory Committee on Community Banking, as secretary on the board of trustees of Cape Cod Community College and on the boards of Gosnold on Cape Cod and The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
