CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. and its employees have donated $260,000 to the American Red Cross’ efforts to aid the 3 million people affected by Haiti’s devastating earthquake.

"We are all deeply moved by the trauma, pain and destruction inflicted by the earthquake in Haiti. CBRE and our employees began a fundraising campaign almost immediately after the disaster struck. Our people around the globe are proud to do their part to help the Haitian people in their time of significant need," said Mike J. Lafitte, president of Americas CB Richard Ellis.

Since the effort began in late January, CBRE employees have contributed $173,000 to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The CB Richard Ellis Foundation matched 50 percent of that amount, bringing the total contribution to $260,000. The fundraising campaign will continue through the end of March.
