Connie Pemmerl, a banking and financial services industry veteran, has joined CB Richard Ellis/New England, a joint venture partner with CB Richard Ellis, as executive vice president of capital markets.

Pemmerl will lead CBRE’s business development efforts with national banking institutions and will maintain a particular focus on growing CBRE’s loan sale advisory business, the company said.

Pemmerl joins CBRE/NE from her private consulting practice, where she specialized in underwriting and structuring complex real estate transactions, debt re-structuring and troubled work-outs. She previously served as executive vice president of the commercial real estate group for Fleet National Bank. Pemmerl has also served as director of capital markets and portfolio management with Berkshire Mortgage Finance and director of debt placements with Boston Financial.
