Chase, the consumer and commercial banking arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co. has hired James Clark as a senior vice president as part of an expansion of its New England operations.

Clark will focus on mid-size businesses in northern Connecticut, Rhode Island and central and western Massachusetts. He previously worked at Bank of America and graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown.

The expansion also includes three new hires in Chase’s Boston office: Rick MacDonald, senior banker; Elizabeth Bollo Leatherbee, relationship manager and Jerri DeFilipois, sales and marketing associate.

JP Morgan Chase has about 800 employees and 51 branches in Connecticut. It has about 1,100 employees in Massachusetts, mostly in Boston.
