Hittite Microwave Corp. has purchased a 105,000-square-foot office building at 2 Elizabeth Drive in Chelmsford for $3.3 million.

The company bought the building from Sovereign Bank, according to a statement.

Senior Vice President Peter Richardson and former Vice President Flory McCarthy of Jones Lang Lasalle served as advisors of the sale.

"This building perfectly met Hittite’s needs and will accommodate their growth program going forward. Its location less than a mile from their world headquarters at 20 Alpha Road in Chelmsford was a major factor in the decision," said Richardson.
