Children’s Hospital Boston has hired Norwalk, Conn.-based construction company EMCOR Group Inc.’s J.C. Higgins subsidiary to install of its mechanical systems.

J.C. Higgins will install the HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems in the hospital’s new 100,000-square-foot addition to its main building, according to a statement. The addition will consist of 10 new stories, with a two-level penthouse and two levels below grade.
