The Chiofaro Co. plans to submit new renderings of potential public improvements to the Boston Harbor Garage site along the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.

Developer Don Chiofaro is locked in a battle with Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the trustees of neighboring residential complex Harbor Towers over his plans to replace the Harbor Garage with a $900 million, 1.5-million-square-foot, mixed-use complex that would soar 625 feet high.

"These new designs provide exciting opportunities for us to partner with our neighbors to achieve long-held dreams for the Greenway and the waterfront," said Chiofaro, president of The Chiofaro Co.

He added: "We’ve heard from the BRA and we know it had real concerns with our first proposal. So we will produce several new design options that respond to the best of our abilities to the issues raised. We hope we can all work together to create a project that moves the Greenway, the waterfront, and our city forward."

"We will present at least three new options, some of which will include the public realm benefits depicted in these new images," Chiofaro said. "We have thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in new city revenue on the table. But if it’s a parking garage people want, that’s always an option, too."
